QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY FOR AN APPLICANT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A PROBATIONARY PIPE TRADES APPRENTICESHIP

MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE. (see section III-B-2 Qualifications for Applicants Apprenticeship)

Complete this page, the attached application form and include the following documents if applicable to you

Birth certificate or copy of valid ID
High school diploma and transcripts of high school equivalency (GED certificate or HiSET with offical report of test results)
Military transfer or discharge form DD-214 if applicable to you
Appear for required placement testing and interview when notifed

IF YOU ARE ACCEPTED FOR A PRONATONARY APPRENTICESHIP YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

Serve as probationary apprentice for a period of 1 year (1700-2000 hours of on-the-job training)
Serve a 5-year apprenticeship including the probationary period (8500-10,000 hours of on-the-job training)
Report for scheduled work on a regular cosistent basis
Have reliable transportation to and from the job site
Work under the direction of a Journeyman Worker on the job site and perform duties satisfactorily
Attend related training classes and maintain an acceptable academic average in those classes
Purchase test materials for use in related training classes as required by instructor
Abide by all rules and regulations of the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee

Accommodation for Learing Disabilities

Applicants who verbally disclose a learining disability to the Training Coordinator prior to testing and provide appropiate supporting documenation will be eligible for accomidations. Accomidations will be reviewed on an individual basis to ensure fairness and consistancy with program standards.
